2 scoops of Vanilla Muscle Gain

Peanut Butter Vanilla Apple Dip
(Makes enough for one person)
1 Tablespoon Adams old fashioned peanut butter
1 scoop Vanilla Muscle Gain
1 Tablespoon water (more if you like your dip runnier)
Stir all ingredients together and enjoy with slices of one small apple.

PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE

8 ounces fat free cream cheese ( can use tofutti cream cheese instead)
8 ounces 1/3 less fat cream cheese
3/4 cup splenda
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 T low fat sour cream (greek yogurt works as well)
1/4 t. salt
1 can pumpkin
1 t vanilla
1 t butter flavor extract
1/4 t ginger
1.5 t cinnamon
1/4 t nutmeg
1/4 t  cloves
4 scoops Advocare Muscle Gain (Vanilla) or 2 pouches
fat free cool whip for a garnish

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease and flour an 8 inch round cake pan.  In a large bowl, blend cream cheese, splenda, and brown sugar .  Mix in eggs, sour cream, pumpkin, salt, vanilla, and spices.  Blend in Advocare muscle gain protein powder.  Pour mixture into the prepared pan.  Bake the cake on the center rack for 35 minutes  or until just set in the middle.  Serve warm or chilled with cool whip.  Can be stored covered with plastic wrap in the fridge.

ADVOCARE POWER MUFFINS

2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour (to make them gluten free, I used Dry Oats – quick oats cereal – and ground them up into a flour/powder in the food processor or magic bullet)
2 AdvoCare Vanilla Meal Replacement Shake Pouches (You could also use Vanilla Muscle Gain Powder to increase the protein content, lower the carbohydrate content. Use 2 pouches of muscle gain OR 4 – 6 scoops.)
1 1⁄2 Cups Flaxseed Meal (I use Bob's Red Mill brand)
1⁄2 Cup Oat Bran
6 AdvoCare Peaches and Cream Fiber Drink Pouches
2 Cups Splenda Brand Sweetener
4 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
4 tsp. Cinnamon
3 Cups Shredded Organic Carrots (food processor or magic bullet)
5 Unpeeled Organic Apples, grated
1 Cup Organic Raisins
2 Cups Coursely Chopped Pecans, toasted (on a cookie sheet in preheated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes, cool before adding to the recipe)
1 1⁄2 Cups 1% Milk (I use vanilla soy milk)
4 Eggs, beaten
2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract

Mix together all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Stir in carrots, apples, raisins, and pecans. In a separate bowl, combine milk, beaten eggs, and vanilla. Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir until moistened. Fill muffin cups 3⁄4 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 – 20 minutes. Makes approximately 3 1⁄2 dozen.

(I also poured some batter into a bread pan and made a bread loaf. Takes a little longer to bake. Poke a dry toothpick in the center and remove the bread when the toothpick comes out dry – without batter stuck to it.)

For 42 muffins, approximate nutritional content per muffin (using oats & Vanilla Meal Replacement Shake)
110 calories, 6 g fat, 13 g carbohydrate, 4 gprotein, 4.5 g fiber

MANDARIN ORANGE SPARK COOKIES

1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 scoops AdvoCare Mandarin Orange Spark
1⁄2 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1 Egg White 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 tsp. Butter Flavor Extract

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Place 3⁄4 oats in a magic bullet blender or food processor and grind into oat flour. Pour flour into a bowl. Add Muscle Gain, Splenda, salt, cinnamon, Mandarin Orange Spark (use more if you want a stronger flavor) and stir together. Add 1/2c. Unsweetened applesauce, egg white, vanilla extract, and butter flavor extract. Mix until moist. Add 1-3/4 cup old-fashioned oats. Mix into the wet ingredients. Dough will be sticky.
Bake for 8-10 min.

Do You Need Nutritional Supplementation?

Supplementation

Is Nutritional Supplementation Necessary?

To some extent, the answer to this question is YES! Is every supplement necessary for everyone? Of course not, but most of us don’t have an ideal nutritional plan and even if we do, today’s means of both growing and processing foods has limited the nutrient totals found in daily diets. For these reasons, almost EVERYONE requires some nutritional assistance in the form of supplementation of some sort. Irrelevant of whether you eat for maintenance, mass gain or weight loss, supplementation fills the gaps that are otherwise impossible to control through diet alone.
Now, knowing the need for your supplementation is just the beginning. There are so many choices out there today and so many more manufacturers making claims that their products provide all of the necessary vitamins, minerals and other nutrients to support overall health. Unfortunately, this is not often the case. One must be very careful when choosing the line of supplementation they will use. It is not to say that they are unhealthy necessarily, but merely that you could in fact be simply throwing your hard earned money away with the use of them.
Simple tip, use only the “major” manufacturers! Do NOT make a purchase based on the price or weekly sale! Also, keep in mind, there is no singular, all-inclusive nutritional product and shy away from any company or product presenting as such. There are just far too many nutritional needs to provide it all through one pill, shake or powder. And no, this does not mean you need a dozen products. It is far more important to cover the basics and those which meet YOUR personal goals.

If for example, you are someone searching for weight loss, please stop looking for the overnight sensation. It does not exist, at least not in a healthy manner. Utilize proven products that create lifestyle effects! Advocare, a premier health and wellness company has formulated a “Metabolic Nutrition System” which is dietary supplement supporting the body’s natural metabolism. When metabolism is optimized, the individual experiences increased energy, better weight management and superior body functions. This is not done through the jittery, ill-feeling means used by so many companies out there. No rushes! No heart palpitations! No flush feelings! Simply good nutrition that enhances your body’s natural abilities.
As for the basics, while I could not even begin to touch on each and every one, I will provide a few important considerations here. Vitamin A is an important nutrient to maintain good health; it helps in good vision, maintaining the skin, mucous membranes, surface lining of the eyes, respiratory, urinary and intestinal tracts. Advocare products contain two types of Vitamin A; Vitamin A palatinate is one used immediately by our body and beta-carotene, a Vitamin A precursor that is converted into usable Vitamin A only as and when required. Vitamin B-6, a water-soluble vitamin is critical for the synthesis of hormones and neurotransmitters from dietary amino acids.Advocare products containing vitamin B-6 supplement are effective in lowering blood homocysteine, which is important in maintaining health of the heart.
Protein is a very important supplement for everyone, irrelevant of your goals. Our daily diets are all too often carbohydrate heavy and an adjustment to include more protein through supplementation will provide huge benefits. Protein requirements range from .8 grams to 2 grams per pound of body weight, based on goals, lifestyle and exercise. Protein supplementation is available in pill or powder form. It is all but impossible to consume the required amounts of protein through diet alone, without consuming excess calories from fats and carbohydrates. A quality protein supplement that has a superior source of high-grade protein and is a metabolically balanced blend that feeds your muscles with the amino acids and other essential components that are necessary for building muscle is a simple solution. A protein which includes L-Arginine, one of the 20 natural amino acid constituents of proteins, plays an important role in metabolism of glucose, which is essential for weight management and good health.

In today’s world, stress is generally associated with emotional, physical or environmental issues. A balanced healthy diet with excellent nutrition and proper use of dietary supplementation can enhance energy levels and decrease the stresses associated with everyday life, thus increasing general health and wellness. Nutrient supplements have important components that help the membranes of nerve cells and also form a sheath for brain tissues and it helps in protecting the brain and nerve tissues from stress and promote healthy mood. A company like AdvoCare has designed several products to help fight stress. The products have a unique blend of B Vitamins and essential nutrients that support individuals with different kinds of stress. Additionally, SPARK, the leading energy and mental focus supplement on the market will produce tremendous effects for anyone! Spark has even been tested in studies focusing on those suffering from ADHD and ADD, will exceptional outcomes.
An estimated 60 – 80% of Americans consume less than recommended daily amounts (RDAs) of many essential nutrients including vitamins and minerals. Over 90% of Americans don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables per day. So it is clear that an average American diet needs a dietary supplement for ensuring the appropriate nutritional needs to have an optimal health and wellness. Choose products that have been designed to ensure that these nutritional needs are met. This will go a long way to decreasing the risk of numerous diseases, facilitate digestion and prevent depression.

Try To Eliminate Cancer Info Update From Johns Hopkins, Very Good Read

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY ('TRY', BEING THE KEY WORD) TO ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY.
>
> Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins:
>
> 1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.
>
> 2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.
>
> 3 When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.
>
> 4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.
>
> 5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.
>
> 6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.
>
> 7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.
>
> 8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.
>
> 9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.
>
> 10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.
>
> 11.. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.
>
> CANCER CELLS FEED ON:
>
> a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts.. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color.. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.
>
> b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk cancer cells are being starved.
>
> c.. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment.. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.
>
> d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).
>
> e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine.. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.
>
> 12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines becomes putrefied and leads to more toxic buildup.
>
> 13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.
>
> 14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the bodies own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.
>
> 15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, un-forgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.
>
> 16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.
>
> 1. No plastic containers in micro.
>
> 2. No water bottles in freezer.
>
> 3. No plastic wrap in microwave.
>
> Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well. Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Cast le Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So
> such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.
>
> Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Advocare Establishes Grant For College Football Assistance Fund- Injured Athletes

AdvoCare Provides Founding Grant for College Football Assistance Fund (CFAF)
Organization dedicated to the support of college football players in need
Carrollton, TX, Jan. 11, 2011 – AdvoCare provides the founding grant to help establish the College Football Assistance Fund (CFAF). CFAF is dedicated to the support of football players who have sustained serious injuries through college football.
The organization was established in 2010 by a group of collegiate coaches and athletic administrators concerned about the limited resources available to injured football players. Assistance will be provided to aid in medical costs for these athletes.
With its strong tie to the athletic community, AdvoCare is proud to be the founding sponsor of the CFAF.
“As we continue to grow and build on our relationships with athletes, coaches and sports medicine professionals, we are honored to help establish this organization to ease the burden of medical cost for these players and their families,” AdvoCare President and CEO Richard Wright said.
There is a defined need for the mission of CFAF. More than twenty thousand college football injuries occur each year. The average medical cost for the most common injury -- knee injury -- is more than $10,000. The costs associated with neck and spinal cord injuries are dramatically more.
“We are very grateful to our good friends at AdvoCare International for providing the founding grant to help establish the CFAF. We are very proud of this association and look forward to working with them on this meaningful endeavor,” said Marques Fitch, Director of Development CFAF.
